Breathe Carolina: Blackout Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Blackout Lyrics
Cut up and I can't feel my hands
no need to chase.
Can you relate? can you keep up the pace like you're
dying for this?
And when you say "I'm not okay"
I left my phone in the cab
now you cant get me.
I'm only...

#1 top rated interpretation:They have said so themselves that is about partying and just letting go to have fun and leave all your worries behind at least for the night. They wrote when David, one of the band members, actually left his phone in the cab and was unable to retrieve it. After the initial freak out period he said he felt more free than he had in a while. No one would be able to bring him down since they had no connections to him what so ever.

#2 top rated interpretation:You're all idiots, it's about partying and getting drunk, but not blacking out.

Who knows ... I think it's partying for sure though.
-
An amphetamine binge.
-
Actually this song is about partying & drinking and then following a girl out of the club and raping her.
-
About having a good time and trying not to blackout. Not necissarly about sex
-
It's about a guy who is going to lite himself on fire in protest of something. Think about it. He's obviously agitated/nervous and the phrase "I'm on fire", "cigarette the wrong way" and "Inhale to the top of my lungs" are in preparation for lighting up. Also I'm only getting started means that this wont be his first protest. But if all you think about all day is sex then it is about sex...sure...
-
