#1 top rated interpretation:When I saw the lyrics of this song, I was like, thats whats in my heart, I am at that state. That deep and wide and high longing for someone to see, doesnt neccessarily means that someone died and that someone is a lover. It might be someone who just left without a word. "Now its hard to even see each others faces" its not completely impossible. "And go to the other side of the world." this can pertain to the distance. "How much longing has to fall like snow for the spring days to come?" To someone who is in the state of being left behind, this is an endless question in mind that would continually come until it is answered. That feeling of wanting to have an answer is as cold as snow. At the second part, he was conceding that its neither their fault, its just supposed to happen. He couldn't bring himself to hate that person so he will just try to forget. "Because that will hurt less than resenting you." Im sure this is an excuse. If that person did something before leaving, its normal to hate him. At the end it is reveal that they are friends, and that he will do something about wanting to see that person. The melody has this yearning notes, no one can understand the deep meaning in each words unless youre in that shoes saying the same words.

#2 top rated interpretation:As i observed the lyrics, i think it is pertaining to someone dear to you and you missed them a lot. Winter symbolizes the loneliness and coldness of not having them on your side. While Spring symbolizes a chance to see them. "passing by the edge of the winter, at least until the change of the weather" this line, i will endure this loneliness and wait for it to fade and change into happiness or maybe, i can endure this loneliness if it's mean i can see you again at the end of this. (not sure) "When spring comes and flowers bloom. please wait until then, just stay and wait a little more" as i said, enduring those feelings may give you an another chance for you too see your dear. It may take too long for a chance to come, but can you please stay wherever you are and i will be the one who will run to you. Just stay and wait for me.
i dont know if i make sense. This is only my opinion. -

#3 top rated interpretation:The lyrics and story have a very deep meaning, also based on book "Those who walk away from Omelas" and movie "No Vacancy". It’s likely to be about a person who has taken their own life or somebody who died in sudden circumstances. The members are talking to them through the lyrics and also to the living people. They encourage friendship and joy. They basically express how important life is and that people should not think about ending it (suicide is a very big problem in Korea).

Bts has brought up a whole lot of pain that I haven't thought about in yrs. So this whole Trilogy is very meaningful. Spring Day to me is personal. I lost two friends. One stabbed his girlfriend. So there is the missing of one friend who can never come back and the other will never get out. I miss them both. The song also takes me back to when we were just teens innocent kids having fun. How did this go wrong and why can I get us back. So 23 yrs later these young men have managed to make me deal with pain from childhood till now just with songs and videos. Good thing I am finally facing it.

it means that how we are going through a lot and they meant to tell us everything goes on and maybe things will be better after some time. In this song winter is used as a sad or difficult time and
spring is used as nice or peaceful. It tells hard times also moves on and time doesn't stays the same it moves on but it is different. -
Me and my sister think that basically that... though winter is here, spring will come I don't exactly remember what we came up with but it was something good.

I think it symbolises the despair after SeokJin's death, As shoes on a tree symbolise someone died. It is based on 'Those who walked away from Omelas' and its meaning is deep.

Could be a long distance relationship. At first they were together irl and then they moved far away and of course long distance is super hard to deal with as you can't just go over to their house and be with them. "I hate you, you left me" catch my drift? They left and yoongis part is basically saying I love you very much but you left me and now I feel alone or something like that. This song wasn't relatable to me until very recently man. Saranghaeyo
