Calum Scott: Dancing On My Own Meaning
Song Released: 2016
Dancing On My Own Lyrics
Does she love you better than I can?
And there's a big black sky over my town
I know where you're at, I bet she's around
And yeah, I know it's stupid
But I just gotta see it for myself
I'm in the...
-
I love Calum Scott
-
So I dont understand the song at all must mean something but I cant find out what do it mean really.
-
With gender fluidity becoming such a big part of so many cultures, he is simply a human being in pain, because someone he wants doesn’t want him.
-
This song was originally written by a female, Robyn. In the original song she writes “I’m not the girl you’re taking home”
-
how could he be singing it from the girl's point of view when he clearly says "im not the guy you're taking home". he's either gay or the girl is a lesbian which doesn't matter 'cause it still makes sense and his song is stunning!
-
Interesting.
Without any prior insight, I had the singer a man whose woman has left him for another woman......he changed her -
All that really counts is that hes a happy man, and a good singer. Get over it, people.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
He's not gay well I don't think I think he's just saying it from the girls pov. (Robyn)
-
Hasnt anyone thought that the girl he talk about might be a lesbian?? No?? Just me? :3 .... okay :P
-
i think he is saying it from the girls point of view
-
Who cares! At the end of the day, his version is stunning to listen to and he shouldn't be subjected to being boxed under a label when it doesn't matter if he's Gay or not. It's time to grow up and let people be who they are without society's label. We are given a name at birth and that's the only label we should wear in life
-
He is saying why did he choose him over someone else. (perhaps a guy)
-
It was originally by Robyn who is female and Calum has kept the lyrics the same apart from "I'm not the guy you're taking home"
-
The song was originally done by Robyn who is a female, so maybe he didn't want to change the lyrics around to make it his own.
