Calvin Harris: This Is What You Came For Meaning
Song Released: 2016
This Is What You Came For Lyrics
Lightning strikes every time she moves
And everybody's watching her
But she's looking at you, oh, oh
You, oh, oh, you, oh, oh
You, oh, oh, you, oh, oh
You, oh, oh, oh, oh
Baby, this is what you came...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think that this song is about a girl that’s popular and loved by everyone and everyone watches her for her beauty wishing she could be theirs but she’s looking at that one specific person who she only loves

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think this song is refering to how when a singer is on the stage, 'everybody's watching her' but she's only looking at one person, her true love. That's what I've always interpreted the meaning to be

#3 top rated interpretation:A girl that was really popular everybody liked her she was happy but there was only one person she liked.

I believe this song talks about a girl who is framed as being bad (“= lightning strikes every time she moves”) [in children movies lightning is a reference of evil so it is usually used when a evil character enters the stage.] at her boyfriend by her boyfriend so she says “baby this is what you came for”. “And she is looking at you “ means that she is mad at him or she is still in love with him.
-
I think the true meaning of the song is two people start dating, then the girl relizes that the man loves somebody ELSE and she exepts that he is in love with someone else. I think it is that because it says it says SHE not me.
-
A guy starts to date a girl, they fall in love. Then he realizes that she's a celebrity (any physical celeb) But only when he goes to one of her show does he understand how much of a big celebrity she is. He then understands what he is in for if he wants to date her. She shows her loyalty by having eyes only for him in the show.

You have all missed the true meaning of this song. The Illuminati based song is flaunting the fact that they have access to portal devices shaped like cubes. When seen they are often accompanied by lightining. They plan on all leaving the earth when poo hits the fan. Half the time she is saying cube, not you.

The first image I got in my head upon hearing this was of a stripper or showgirl who is interested in a guy in the audience as much as he is interested in her. The "this is what you came for" is what makes it feel like someone you would pay to see and obviously everyone wants this girls attention but she only has eyes for one guy.

So, I think the the song is about Taylor and Calvin..I think the "lightening strikes everytime she moves is referring to camera flashes and she is looking at him..

I think tis is about a girl(singer) who went to a party with someone she likes and there another really pretty girl who likes the singers crush and the singer is jealous
-
I think this song is about a girl who is at a party with her boyfriend/crush or similar and there is another girl who is majestic and beautiful. Even though the amazing girl could have anyone in the room, she is looking at the singer's boyfriend/crush.

No meaning to the song.
