Songs about Dads
Do dads even exist anymore? When's the last time you met a kid who had both parents living at home? These mythical creatures, called "fathers," once roamed the earth taking care of their offspring, in partnership with the mother. This unit formed the structure known as the "nuclear family," and like its namesake, it proved to be unstable and blew up.
However, for those of you living in the past, here's some songs about dear old dad. We would say this is a tribute to be enjoyed by fathers in the modern day, but alas, such a unicorn has not been spotted in decades.

Daddy's Hands Holly Dunn
"Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin'.
Daddy's hands, were hard as steel when I'd done wrong.
Daddy's hands, weren't always gentle
But I've come to understand,
There was always love in Daddy's hands." -

Just the Two of Us Will Smith
"From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms
I knew I'd meet death before I'd let you meet harm
Although questions arose in my mind, would I be man enough?
Against wrong, choose right and be standin up" -
Leader of the Band Dan Fogelberg
"An only child alone and wild, a cabinet maker's son
His hands were meant for different work
And his heart was known to none
He left his home and went his lone and solitary way
And he gave to me a gift I know I never can repay" -
Love Without End, Amen George Strait
And he said, "Let me tell you a secret about a father's love,
A secret that my daddy said was just between us."
He said, "Daddies don't just love their children every now and then.
It's a love without end, amen, it's a love without end, amen. -
