Chelsea Grin: Recreant Meaning
Recreant Lyrics
I'm f***ing sick of all the lies and all the treachery,
I was always by your side and this is how you repay me,
And after all these years you f***ing turned your back on me,
I can't believe I ever considered...
-
I think this could be a bout a close friendship of many years and them always being their for each other and the other friend either sleeps with someone also very close to then in a different way or a spouse or partner does something to betray them perhaps cheats with someone they are close to
-
I think it’s about a best friend or family that stole his girlfriend or wife "I was always by your side, this is how you repay me." “I can’t believe I ever considered you as family”
-
This song obviously has a lot of anger on it. I think it means that a girl or someone has left the others side when they were always there, being everything they should be.
-
I think this song is about some girl a guy is dating cheating on him, and he finds out about it. "I was always by your side, this is how you repay me." In my head I get an image of him always loving her, always being there for her, always standing by her, and she turns her back on him and cheats. So he basically writes this song in anger.
