On broadway the story is that her mom was blond and light and kids made fun of Cher because she was darker than her mom.
Her dad was Armenian and her mom American so they called her a half-breed. -
I just thought it was a song of the era and I guess I thought it was just telling a story of how weird we can be with diversity in our families and communities...clothing would be nice if more authentic...
