Chicago: After All That We've Been Through Meaning
After All That We've Been Through Lyrics
I heard her say,
“From each other.”
“Even lovers need a holiday,
Far away, from each other.”
Hold me now
It's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay
After all that we've been...
-
The song is plain and simple; "after all that we've been through, I will make it up to you". Based on the beginning, his partner left him, but he promises to make it up to her. The entire ballad is his promise that she's "gonna be the lucky one".
Love this song. But the actual title is "Hard to Say I'm Sorry". -
It means they have done alot of things wrong but he want's to make things perfect for her, if possible, ya know...cause sometimes it's just not possible but is there to much water under the bridge if u really want it to work with someone? YES!!!! Definetly cause be beyond repair but such a great song about hope!
