Cute Is What We Aim For: Fourth Drink Instinct Meaning
Fourth Drink Instinct Lyrics
All alone
She's underage and so very very brave
A fake ID lent her credibility
She sits at the bar
The gents are gonna try so hard
He said it was a one night stand
But the alcohol didn't...
-
this clearly sounds like rape, I don't think the singer even realized this, which is kinda sad...this song is good but sad.
-
What I get from this song is that a young girl gets super drunk and only WANTS a one night stand, but she gets used by
this man and he takes advantage of her more than once and kind
of kidnaps her.
I guess I understand everyone else's point of view too though. -
A girl (underage) goes to a bar one night, and meets a guy with whom she sleeps with. He tells her that he doesn't want a relationship, just a one nighter. She agrees, because she is REALLY drunk. In the morning, she realises that he's gone, and she doesn't understand why (she thought he would stay as a boyfriend)The next night, she goes back to the bar, and tries waiting for the guy, but he slips out of the bar when he sees her come in. Upset, she orders lots of alcohol, and the bartender tells her that she shouldn't, because she is a better person when she's sober and she won't make bad decisions like she did the night before.

I think this is a really sad song. an under age girl who doesn't deserve to be at a bar probably has no confidence or a sad life starts talking to a guy who just wants a 1 night stand and he told her that, but the alcohol didn't let her understand and she thought it really meant something.what made you think couldn't he find the door in the morning when he found the bed so easily in the dark. The sad part is she is depressed resulting her to go back and even though the bar tender tried to tell her it started the cycle again she thought she could buy happiness in a bottle.
