David Guetta: Titanium Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Featuring: Sia
Covered By: Jasmine Thompson (2013)
Titanium Lyrics
You shout it out
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up
[Chorus:]
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire...

i love this song!!!it gives me confidence to stand up to the bulies in life just like the boy...of course i wouid not blow up my school.
-
I think that there is a simple meaning, and a deep meaning to the lyrics and video. He simple meaning being if you stand up for yourself, you don't have to reap the pain of hate. The deeper meaning being... well, titanium is an odd element. It is very strong under 849 degrees, but 49% lighter than most steel. There are many elements just as strong or stronger than titanium, but they chose titanium because even though it has such light weight, it out-hardens many metals. Even though that boy was an odd child, he showed the world he was more than that. He showed the world that a human is a human. Many would expect a shining, strong, popular man to take that boy's place, but you can't judge anything from what it seems... otherwise feel the wrath of titanium ;)
-
I think the video is about a kid that just realized he did major damage to his school using these powers he has, and runs away to prevent getting caught. I think the song is about finally finding your voice and telling the people hurting you to just fire away, even though they can't do any damage.
-
If you've ever been in an emotionally abusive relationship this song will bring you to tears. Thanks Sia and David Guetta for giving me courage and cardio.
-
I think that this song and the music video are both about how people hate anyone or anything that is different and that you shouldn't let what other people say or do affect who you are, you should be strong like "titanium". In the music video, it shows a boy (Ryan Lee) who has supernatural powers, and because he is different in that way, people are trying to kill him even though he is still a person, a child even. Of course, this is just how i interpreted it, and it probably isn't right because I'm only 13 years old.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Honestly just because I've known a lot of depression in my life maybe its kind of referring to that the way everything is described seems to be saying I'm as low as I'll ever get so whatever you want to do, do it it won't hurt me I don't care anymore like the title of the song I am titanium.
-
it kinda reminds me of the gone series by michael grant, and its about the kids all getting powers. A few kids demonstrate thier powers, and they are shipped off to boarding school because they are "troubled" it is just because they are different and normal people are jealous and want to believe that it's nothing and put it behind them. Thats humanity people, treating lucky people with jealously and punishment.
-
No matter what people try to say or do to make you fall you'll stand up proup everytime. You are strong you cant go down
-
If you remember that it is not what other people say about you which hurts you - but what you think about what they are saying - then you will remember that you have a choice of how to react than no-one can take from you and you will appear like titanium. This is very frightening and disarming for a bully.
I have had the misfortune (or fortune depending on how you interpret it) to have had some very abusive people in my life - I would not be as successful in life if it wasn't for what they taught me. -
When songs tell stories they are 1000x more powerful than seeing the same dude/dudette singing striking different poses. That being said, this is one of the best music videos i have ever seen.
It seems obvious to me that this kid is picked on in school, when he takes up his defensive position his powers activate and shield him from the incoming blows. The same happens in the woods. It feels as if the kid gives up because he doesnt want to fight, he wants to be accepted.
I believe this song is about being stronger than you realize. And also accepting others no matter what their condition.
I hope as a society we can learn that everyone is different, everyone is special, and thats okay. :) -
It is about an unpopular kid who suffers from bullying and bad social and emotional skills. After an incident at school, the boy does some supernatural bomb thing, which is abnormal, so the FBI or whatever decide to take matters into there own hands. They attempt to capture the bot, but he soon gets away.
-
the super-powers that are shown in the video, doesn't necessarily means something extra humanly.......it just shows a miracle is always hiding within our souls, most of the time not noticed.....after getting tired with life without appreciation, a boy decides it has to get over....we may not be capable of doing large things in our life, but every single day we are performing miracles, ....unknowingly we stand against evil supports good, love all.
-
When I was young I was bullied. I often dreamed I had supernatural powers, to scare everybody. Like a revenge. I would put the school all upside down, just like the video. And in my head I would say things like the lyrics here. I would get home and find nobody to help me ( as we see in the vid) .... That's why for me, it is clear it's about bullying .... or on how you feel when everobody seems to be against you.
-
I think because he trashed the school and the teacher calls the army and he noes he has to run away. They try to harm him but he has special powers and he blows them up and he is left unharmed.
