Songs about Fear and Insecurity

Are these the most terrifying times we've ever faced? They may seem that way, but in fact every generation thinks exactly the same. We are fragile beings, inevitably mortal, marooned in space on a world that seems to have more ways to kill us than it does to sustain us. Moreover, the greatest enemy of humans is each other, so we have just as much reason to fear our own kind as we do any external threat.

A common bit of ghetto wisdom has it that "Fear makes the wolf look bigger." If we can get a handle on our fear, we can realize that it doesn't have to control us. In that spirit, these songs can be healing, by confronting our worst and darkest demons and studying them. The longer you look at them, the smaller they get.
