Sit Still, Look Pretty Lyrics
But guess what?
I'm never gonna be that girl
Who's living in a Barbie world
Could wake up, in make up, and play dumb
Pretending that I need a boy
Who's gonna treat me like a toy
I know the other girlies...

#1 top rated interpretation:She doesn't need a man in her life if all he's ever going to do is force her to change into the way he wants her to be. She will be her own strong woman and do what she wants to do when she wants to do it.
-
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think it means that a woman, in this era must be independent and she is trying to send a message to all the girls around telling them that they do not men in order to live.
-
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:She is pointing out that she will never be a puppet or a doll just to please a man. She will never obey one. She is a strong woman and does not need a man to complete her life story. She is in control of her own destiny!

In today's era, women can choose to be a house wife or a career woman. She should be given a choice to do what she wants because marriage is above all not bondage or ne controlled. If she graduated college in flying colors & wanted to pursue her dreams, marriage should not get in the way. It is sexist that when a woman gets married she should just stay at home doing household chores and taking care of the children. She can pursue her dreams while kids & household chores should be delegated to both the wife and husband, taking turns.
-
She doesn't need anyone telling her what to fo because it is her own life that she is living not someone else.
-
l think she means she's strong on her own and doesn't want a man to tell her what to do

My interpretation is that she wasn’t going to act like a puppet to get love from a man who was gonna; treat her like a toy.
-
She doesn’t want men to control her path and what she looks like- she wants to be independent and “fly solo.”
-
I think it means she wants to be herself and does not need a man to tell her how she should look and live like.
-
i think this means that the only thing a guy is gonna give you is pain and she just wants to go do her own thing.
-
I think this song means a women not letting men control what they do and say and act.
