Escape The Fate: Flood Meaning
Flood Lyrics
The drama that i'm in,
the flood is getting closer but i don't think they know that i know how to swim
your feeling numb,
from all that has become
it leaves your gums, slips down your tongue and travels fast down towards your...

#1 top rated interpretation:So basically this song is about Craig coming to the band and everybody criticizing him about it. 'The Flood' basically represents all the comments and criticism that he has received. He can feel the pressure about being the new band member and leader. When he says 'I can't believe the trouble that you've caused' he is speaking to Ronnie about how its his fault that this is happening and people are criticising him. The song is simple.

Yeah they said that a couple of there songs were based of halo, so dont think that we are crazy.
-
This is one of the songs the band used halo references in
the guillotine and the guillotine pt 2 are other songs they used references in. -
Um, I kind of took "The Flood" to be a metaphor for a woman's period. You know: flood, drama, drives men insane, he's fine as long as it's not happening.
-
I do agree that it has to do with the fact that Craig is new to Escape the Fate, and that people are criticizing him, BUT I don't think it has anything to do with Ronnie. Yes he's messed up, but Ronnie is EFFING AMAZING and will always be the REAL lead singer of ETF. But it also isn't Craig's fault that Ronnie is in prison. People should STFU and leave well enough alone!!!!!

I believe this song has something to do with the fans because he says he is dealing with pressure so maybe the fans are giving him pressure because he isn't Ronnie nor ever will be and when he says "I cant believe the trouble that I'm in" maybe he is there to pull the band back together and is in trouble because again he isn't Ronnie. I strongly believe this song has something about Ronnie and joining the band feeling pressure from the fans so much he broke and the flood referring to how flipping mad he is! :] but that's just my opinion.

It sounds like it got something to do with halo 3 xD
cos the flood n stuff
'Its On My Brain, Driving Me Insane'
'Your Brought the flood' -
i dont really think it has anything to do with fans or ronnie. i think "we wont back down" has mostly to do with the fans and ronnie. and then the flood is having someone always telling you that your not good enough and that you can be better and finally you just explode. meaning you broke the flood, youve cracked the ice. and it just really bothers you and it hurts until you cant keep it inside anymore.
