Ungrateful Lyrics
Breaking me down to the bone
So listen closely,
'Cause what you don’t see
Is there’s still blood inside this beating heart
Still beating,
Still breathing

Its talking about Ending The Cycle of Abuse!
When life or an abuser or a bully beats you down, to stand for whats right. To make it stop. Also to help others, to be vocal about advocating against violence.
Alot of this world just ignores the horrendous abuse that happens, in families, in schools, etc. So we need to "Stand and Scream, when the rest of the world wont make a sound".
And, myself, as a victim of abuse, this song is also about fighting against the violence, no matter how much you get beaten down, metaphorically and literally, to keep standing up for what is right. To stop the cycle, to create a new life. To be reborn, a phoenix from the ashes.

What this song means to me is its a song about a kid who was bullied by an older kid, and he was beaten so badly he died. Not but suicide, but beaten to death. The kid who beat him is a violent person because he is beaten by his father. He is angry at his dad and wants to feel better than someone so he bullies people. This song connects to me because my cousin was bullied constantly, beaten almost daily, and he killed himself. This song reminds me of him and that violence like this needs to stop. People think its funny to beat someone scrawnier or weaker but its not. People are dying from suicide everyday and no one stops the hate and harassment, but i know what its like to have someone your close to die from it.

Basically standing up for others when in a bad situation such as being bullied at school or being abused physically or mentally.
