Fall Out Boy: 27 Meaning
27 Lyrics
Then we're all just fucked!
I can't remember
I can't remember
And I want it so bad
I'd shoot the sunshine into my veins
I can't remember the good old days
And it's kind of funny
The way we're wearing...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think 27 is talking about Pete himself because the lyrics say,"my mind is a safe and if I keep it then we all get rich" and if he keeps his head together then they can make money off their songs since he writes all the songs. And after that he says "my body is an orphanage we take everyone in" I think this means that Pete helps produce all these bands. And at age 27 Pete was having a hard time, with Ashley and his fame. He was close to joining the "27 club" which is the group of famous musicians that have died at 27, Pete almost committed suicide at 27. which leads to my next interpretation of the line "Doing lines of dust and sweat off the last night's stage just to feel like him." Him is probably one of the musicians apart of the 27 club. And since he was going through such a tough time he used drugs to make him feel better "And I want it so bad I shoot the sunshine into my veins I can't remember the good old days."

The song’s basically about the 27 club (a group of artists and musicians who died at 27) and how people were worried Pete Wentz would die before he turned 28. There’s a lot of drug references because of that. Also I think it’s partly about the band, because “if home is where the heart is then we’re all just f*cked” - I saw an interview where they said that they had been touring for so long that they didn’t really have a home + their home was each other but at the time it was kinda falling apart

I feel like most of the songs from Folie A Deux are about some bad experiences that Pete ( and possibly the other members) went through. I think this album is really angsty and the whole album is full of unsaid feelings from all of them.

I see all the songs from FD as a goodbye song. "Are all the good times getting gone?", good days are about how the band's fame in mid 2000s but they are not that fame when the release FD. "last night stage" is about they trying to feel what theyre fans feel but they really dont have the pasion anymore.
