From Now on We Are Enemies Lyrics
Your head's only medicine
I just want to be better than your
Your head's only medicine
A downward spiral just a pirouette
G-g-getting worse till there's n-n-nothing left
What good comes of something when...

This is about Pete and Patrick, not in a peterick way, it’s literally just about them…it’s comparing them to Mozart and that other composers guy….patrick has said he thinks of himself as a composer more than anything…there’s some more stuff on tumblr, I don’t really know

The title of this song is spoken by Salieri in the movie
. He wanted to be a great composer but dimmed by super-genius Mozart, so he curses the God for not giving him a great talent: here's the entire quote.
From now on we are enemies, You and I. Because You choose for Your instrument a boastful, lustful, smutty, infantile boy and give me only the ability to recognize the incarnation. Because You are unjust, unfair, unkind I will block You, I swear it. I will hinder and harm Your creature on Earth as far as I am able. I will ruin Your incarnation.
Yes, he only wanted what he couldn't have. The writer of this song's lyrics may be drugging himself, cursing that he doesn't have the talent which can make himself be remembered forever. -
I think that this song is basically a way of saying "we are insignificant in this world, so who will remember us?" but also stating their purpose.
"I just want to be better than your heads only medicine." I believe that this is another way of saying, as they've said in many different ways before, that they want to help people, to be an anti-depressant, an anti-anxiety, or "your heads only medicine"
"I only want what I can't have" perhaps they believe that this sort of immortality is unreachable for just these ordinary four guys.
