Fall Out Boy: Of All the Gin Joints in the World Meaning
Of All the Gin Joints in the World Lyrics
Cause you don't know who I really am
Sometimes I just want to know what it's like to be you
We're making out inside crashed cars
We're sleeping through all our memories
I used to waste my time dreaming of being...

I definately agree that this song is about a relationship. It seems that the guy feels unworthy of being with the girl. He didn't really live before he met her, only dreamed of what it would be like. They open up to each other leaving behind the awkwardness and this relationship changes his life.

I never really understood the meaning of this song, until I started going out with my current boyfriend!
"Turn off the lights and turn off the shyness
'Cause all of our moves make up for the silence
And oh, the way your makeup stains my pillowcase
Like I'll never be the same"
I think these lyrics are about a couple who are pretty shy around each other in public, but when they're on their own they are more like a couple.
