hockey..doode..u rock for that..haha.. F.O.B. Songs are about whatever you want them to be..there may be a fall out boy meaning but they leave the interpretation ambiguous enough so you can make the song your own..when you sing it..u sing about whatever you feel the song is about..the FOB meaning is about chris any non bandwagon fall out boy fan knows this..make the song your own..haha..hockey..PRICELESS

Um to clear things up, Thnks Fr Th Mmrs is the way its written on the album...so I don't know what album you have Paniqluv, but mine says Thnks Fr Th Mmrs...
Anyways, I'm still really confused about the song meanings, but I'm guessing the people with the Chris theory are right
note from paniqluv i was being like blind and stupid. i looked back and it said thnks fr th mmrs. major blonde moment. sorry people!! -
Does anyone know where "I only think in the form of crunching numbers" is from?
It sounds so familiar. -

This song is about when the Canadians didn't make it to the playoffs during the 2006-2007 hockey season. "I'm gonna make you bend and break, it sends you to me without wait" is about the team's attitude before the game, wanting to make their opponents "bend and break". "Say a prayer but let the good times roll, in case god doesn't show" means they are praying they will win, but if God does not answer their prayers, they will still try to have a good time. "I want these words to make things right but it's the wrong that makes the words come to life" means that the hockey players aren't very good at public speaking, so they will just do there best at playing the game instead of trying to convince people they rule. "One night and one more time, thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great, he tastes like you only sweeter" means that this is the last night they will play, and when they lost they said "thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great", and the other team is saying "he tastes like you only sweeter"(that's why it's in quotes) because victory tastes like the Canadians, only sweeter. "I've been looking forward to the future but my eyesight is going bad" means the team was looking forward to winning but they were losing focus. "This Cristobal is only cloudy except for when I look into the past" means that their goalie (who is called Cristobal Huet) and he was only good in the past. "One night stand off" is pretty self-explanitory, because it is a hockey game stand off in one respect.
They say
"I only think in the form of crunching numbers
In hotel rooms
Collecting paycheck lovers"
Get me out of my mind
Get you out of those clothes
I'm a letter away
From getting you into the mood
Whoa"
This part means that the hockey players only know their opponents by the numbers on their jerseys and not their names (the form of crunching numbers), and they spend most of their time in hotel rooms collecting paychecks, and after the game they just want to "get out of their minds and get out of those clothes" (their nasty sweaty hockey equipment), and once they get their equipment off, their "liners", which in this case is them without their equipment, is the one thing that's keeping them from wanting to play hockey again. -
""Get me out of my mind
Get you out of those clothes
I'm a line away
From getting you into the mood (wa-ooooohhh)""
Seems like the motivation is pretty clear, cocaine's a hell of a drug. Maybe he's named coke a male's name and also maybe that quote "he tastes just like you..." echoes in his mind as he taxes all females from coast to coast, and when he gets his fill he's chilly most... -

Thnks Fr the Memories is what the song is called. This person doesn't have anything against vowels, that's the way it's supposed to be!!
note from paniqluv (the one who thought they had something against vowels) umm yea i established i knew that already. haha i have a spelling ocd sometimes and i saw that and was like "omfg no vowels!!!" -

psPatrick2707 - Grenade Jumper was written before the whole Chris incident. Chris actually had put in his livejournal that when they play that song on stage he [Chris] hopes that Pete feels like a fake. But prior to this yes, they were good friends.
-
thnks fr th mmrs is txt msg speak, faster than typing the whole word when you're on a cell phone.
-
I believe Pete said it was about two lovers that aren't really lovers any more, but they do the woohoo still. And they wanna move on with their lives, but it's hard.
