Finch: Letters to You Meaning
Letters to You Lyrics
It's empty tonight and i'm all alone
Get me through this one
Do you notice i'm gone?
Where do you run to so far away?
I want you to know that I miss you I miss you so
I want you to know...
-
I feel like this song is a love letter to yourself before you were depressed and you miss that person and as much as you try it’s just gone away
-
Im pretty sure the song meaning is about suicide because in the music video, it shows the boy with the mask, then later on the older guy with the same mask. I think the video is trying to get us to now that he was killing himself, and he is singing because he misses him. He is writing the letters to someone who commited suicide, he misses him.

I'm not sure what it is supposed to mean, but what I get out of it is about suicide.
"Can't you see that I wanna be there with open arms? It's empty tonight And I'm all alone. Get me through this one" I want to be around everybody, but nobody is there for me.
"I'm writing again these letters to you on how much I know." Writing suicide letters on what I think about life.
"Do you notice I'm gone?" Does anybody notice that I'm not here. I'm locked up in my own world and nobody seems to notice that my mind just isn't there in the present?
Thats just what I get out of it, and I'm pretty sure that its not really what the song is about, but its a cool way to look at it. -
I think this song is about how the guy love this girl but not so sure if she feels the same for him now these days and just wants her to know how much he misses how they used to be
-
I agree its pretty self-explanitary. c'mon folks lets analyse someting deep and meaning that's not spelt out for us.. I noticed noones really commented on any finch songs :'s they rock!
-
This song is about missing someone and loving them, but questioning whether they love you back as much as you love them. (Hence the line "Do you notice I'm gone? / Where do you run to so far away?")
