Frank Zappa: Inca Roads Meaning
Inca Roads Lyrics
Come from somewhere out there
Just to land in the andes?
Was it round
And did it have
A motor
Or was it
Something
Different
Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Fly along the mountains
And find a place to park...
-
This song is intended to be a joke on the first verse, which is clearly about a UFO landing in the Andes mountains, specifically Peru, Nazca lines? Incas roads, also carve up the hill, build a space for such a thing to land, clearly meaning the mountain tops of Nazca that are leveled off and look exactly like a landing strip. These lyrics are convoluted by the next verses which are random inside jokes between the band members, ie booger bear is a groupie, using that logic I sit even want to know what a guacamole queen is haha. On Ruth refers to Ruth Underwood the marimba player and Chester's thing refers somehow to Chester the drummer...it sounds to me like Chester landed on a booger bear meaning he hooked up with a groupie. This is what I gather from my own research and interpretation.
