Frank Zappa: You Are What You Is Meaning
You Are What You Is Lyrics
-
''You are What You Is'',a great song by Frank Zappa to remind us who are we really,by making satire of our stereotypes that consciously or unconsciously want and try to be somebody else that felt and looked so unreal to him back then. With Zappa's music nobody got out alive, he just killed everybody with satire in his music that was like no other ever since the Mothers of Invention and on up to his death. To me many of his songs was to rebel against the establishment of the so called norm wich he felt was going the wrong way at times. His love of music was to bring it all together to expierience it in ''wholeness satire'' and then to recast it from the one track mind of tunnel vision that many of us were going into. Zappa was like a 2,000 year old liberal at heart, turned libertarian conservative for us to see things differently through his music that he tried to express in todays time to compare to the past when liberalisim meant something different then today that got converted to diviate to mean something else, so he broke away from the organized religion or the form of organized music in the way that has been used by some people that wants to box us in worshipping idols in becoming stereotyped by them that i think Zappa was against, not Jesus in God. Frank Zappa was what he was, a genius.
