George Harrison: When We Was Fab Meaning
Song Released: 1988
When We Was Fab Lyrics
woke up in a daze
Arrived like strangers in the niqht.
Fab - long time ago when we was fab
Fab - back when income tax was all we had.
Caressers fleeced you in the morning light
Casualties at dawn; and we...

Cynical George starting to get sentimental about his time with the Fabs? Just barely, if at all. A little wistful about their beginnings, when grass was just, well, grass. They're like strangers in a daze as the whole world is laid before them. They're suddenly in the highest tax bracket -- 95% -- so are they all that filthy rich? A lot of "caressers" seem to think so, coming around to "fleece" them. Only in the hungover light of dawn does it all become clear, though it must be said: They got to do it all. So here's everyone and her sister saying, "You're my world, my only love," but at the same time the fuzz are waiting for one slip-up with that "buzz" they're using to take themselves away. They're living under a microscope, splashed across the papers "warts and all," but it must be said: Life flows on [within them and without them]. Of course, that's "all over now [baby blue]," but you still get things like this pullover sweater that someone's knitted. Remember all the fans who used to knit these things that said "Beatles 4-ever," "I luv George," etc.? A sweater like this could really get a hold on you -- like the song of the same name, like the whole Fab Four experience that will probably never let him go.

The song talks about the days when The Beatles were known as the fab four and their peak years.
