This song is about how rules are made to be broken and warnings can be ignored. You live your own life, you make your own choices. Says bass player Mike Dirnt: "You gotta make your own decisions and choices. It's not so much about what to think, it's just to think. Question everything."

So that’s the meaning to this song

This song, in opinion is about trust and how stupid it is "sanitatio, expiration date, question everything" and about how you never know and you always have to be ready for anything. Due to the theme and the line " this is a public service anouncement" it's abit of tribute to the clash's song know your rights

i agree this song is about living without warning and all, but mainly its a political song. warning was pretty much a stepping stone for american idiot then 21st century breakdown.

Warning applies the concept that almost everything in life comes with a warning. Many verses in the song reference common warning signs and phrases. It implies that life would be easier without warnings, shown in the lyric: "...Live without warning...".
