Grouplove: Tongue Tied Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Tongue Tied Lyrics
Roll around this roundabout
Oh yeah
Take me to your best friend's house
I loved you then and I love you now
Oh yeah
Don't take me tongue tied
Don't wave no goodbye
Don't...
Take me to your best...
-
i think the guy just wants to go to a party with his girlfriend at her best friend's house.
"roll around this roundabout" and "i loved you then and i loved you now" probably mean that they used to go to parties together when they were younger, and he wants to have another one so that he can feel young and happy again.
"dont leave me tongue tied, dont wave no goodbye, dont kiss me goodnight"
could either means that he doesnt want his girlfriend to reject his invitation to go to the party with him,
or that he doesnt want her to leave during or after the party, he wants her to stay a bit longer.
I dont know what it really means, but this is one of my favorite songs, :D -
I think its about a guy who messed up with a girl and they Arnt together anymore but now he misses her and wants to go back to her best friends house where they would always hang out.
-
not sure about the threesome thing, but as usual, most songs revolve around sex. I was thinking more along the lines of this being "dont leave me High and dry" type song. Dont take me that way, dont leave me that way. He wants sex

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

"Take me to your best friend's house" - Her "best friend's house" is her pussy. Tongue tied - pretty obvious.
-
I think it means tht he is tounge tied which means he doesn't know what to say cuz people r trying to kill him and then the girl kissed hI'm do he's confused but I would like to here the real meaning from group love btw I lovvvvve this song and if u haven't checked out skrillex version of cinema CHECK IT OUT it's AMAZING!!!

I think it is about a guy saying to his girlfriend that he loves her best friend but he loves her more. Also I think that when it says "Normally we're making out" (in the lyrics above this) he says marmalade instaed of normally. IDK.

Well, ya know maybe its like old poetry that your English teacher is trying to interpret: there IS no interpretation. Maybe it really is just a bunch of useless words put together because the artist thought they sounded good together or made sense (which they obviously kinda don't... But honestly, maybe there is no real deep meaning to it, its just like "I am the Walrus" by the Beetles, its about drugs and thats all there is to it

Oh my god, it's a real round about, you know the things that are the car circles, which in my mind leads to partying and duh of course it's about a 3 some, and he loved her before it and he loves only her after it, but damn it can't they have that wild fun again, jeez people, oh and no it could be aimed at teens but it's more college-aged young adults. Oh I just love the lyrics and both of the singers' voices as well. I heard this not on the apple commercial but in the small town where I used to live, damn uh trust me it's definitely outright "alluding" to a 3some situation.
-
The video doesn't really have anything to do with the song so doesn't need to be interpretted.. but I agree that the song is about a boy not wanting his girlfriend to leave him; he wants to go back to how it was when they met (he loved her then and he still loves her now). No idea what the lyrics mean that the girl sings though..
-
I don't know what to think. I thought it was a normal song about a guy wanting a girl but then again....never trust a happy song
-
It's just about partying. The drugged brownie, the freaky hallucanations, and, duh, the wild party in the video. Also, it could be about really brief couples, like just meeting someone at a party.
