Gwen Stefani: Cool Meaning
Song Released: 2005
Cool Lyrics
Now I found the love of my life...
Passes things get more comfortable
Everything is going right
And after all the obstacles
It's good to see you now with someone else
And it's such a miracle that...
-
Watch the video--everyone who commented. She didnt move on--she's still heartbroken. How dont you see it? Its Heartbreaking. She's still trying but see when their lips touch their respective cups? The director inserted a scene of their lips kissing. I believe suggesting that she feels that loss. You can see its as if she is intentionally touching the cup as he is...as if she wants the cups to be each other. I know I'm not verbalizing this right--but you must know what I mean. Anyone else picking up on this? She's awkward around him, not smooth like Kelly Clarkson; who "moved on"...You can see the memories are hers, not his. She isnt over him. watch it again.

I think the song and video are exactly what they look like. Stefani is facing her past and letting go of all the emotions and heartache that went with it and finds a place that she can be at peace. It is forgiving and coming to terms with someone she thought she couldn't live without. Someone who hurt her. Someone who clearly has moved on and is taking his new love to her for the same. Forgiveness From her.
-
What about the part where she says under the boulevard where the mess was made
-
I think this song is about her and her ex boyfriend. They are still friends and cool with each after all they been through. Even though she found the love, she still has feeling for him. She wants happiness for him, even if the happiness isn't coming from her. In the video, it seem like he stop loving her so I'm guessing that's how the relationship ended. Either way they still have a good relationship friends and move on with their lives.
-
I think the song is about how she comes to accept that her boyfriend broke up with her because he no longer felt the same way he once did. She obviously still has feelings for him but she doesnt want to lose him completely and wants him to be happy even if that means having to be friends with his new girlfriend. She cant help but remember all those beautiful, amazing, extraordinary memories she has with him, but she learns to see those memories as something she wouldnt wanna change because they certainly were happy moments, that one should cherish while they lasted.

So,
I think this song is about....
How It's hard to remember how it felt before
and how she found the love of her life...
Passes things get more comfortable you know?
Everything is going right you know?
And after all the obstacles
It's good to see her now with that ugly bitch
And it's such a miracle that...
when you get the pump, it's like the greatest feeling in the world. I am all the time cumming, it's terrific. -
It's basically about a couple that has a horrible break up and years later, the reunite and they've both moved on and decided to let bygones be bygones and they form an even stronger relationship and become best friends.
-
The song is about a previous relationship most likely with Tony Kanal (a fellow No Doubt member) who is also the subject of Ex Girlfriend. It deals with how they have come to terms with their feelings for each other and how they have moved on
-
Yeah, apparently this is about Gwen's relationship and consequent break up with a No Doubt member quite a while ago. Not one of her best songs in my opinion. I rate "Early Winter" as one of the gr8est! Anyways she's just shouting out to say to him that she's down with his new relationship coz she has one too and its all. . .COOL! Well that's me done so ttfn! (ps I heart the ESC! Yaha its me again!)
-
It's about one wonderous relationship that just didn't work. And even though it didn't, Gwen is realizing that hating the other person for what is no more is wrong. She wants to be happy for that person and his new relationship and wants him to be happy for her. She wants them to still have a stable friendship no matter what hardships they endured as one. She wants to be there for him no matter what. It's sort've about letting go and getting your priorities straight, and learning to celebrate to something bigger than yourself.
-
This song is about Gwen and her bassist, who she dated for many years. The guy in the video looks exactly like him, too. It's about their past getting to this point and how she's grateful of their friendship and they're still "cool".
The good thing about Gwen is all of her songs are based off of life experiences, which almost cost her and Gavin not to get married, because he was irritated with all of their personal business being out there. -
This is clearly about her ex boyfriend (the subject of DON'T SPEAK) and how they were able to overcome the past and it's "a miracle that they are such good friends". You know how when you've been through so much with one person, and they are still there for you - you just KNOW you are cool? cool as in - this is a rock solid relationship and it's just not going to go away. "now that I've found the love of my life" is Gavin Rossdale. this is clearly about her life and loves. and I LOVE this song. it brings tears to my eyes.
-
She is trying to tell her ex-boyfriend that she is cool, as in okay with everything that happened. She's cool with her ex-boyfriend getting a new girlfriend and she is definetly cool that they are still good friends, though she misses him and is a tad bit jealous of his new girlfriend, she is still happy for him.
-
It is basically talking about two people who used to go out. They were in love but broke up. They've settled their differences and they can hang out with each other without jealousy of the other's boy/girlfriend. They are totally comfortable with each other and are just friends..nothing more, and they're cool with each other.
