Song Released: 2004
Rich Girl Lyrics
If I was a Rich Girl
Na [x15]
See, I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl
No man could test me, impress me, my cash flow would never ever end
Cause I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy...

Daryl and his girlfriend at the time had one of her old boyfriends over and he was very cocky arrogant and talked down to Darryl because he was a struggling musician at the time .
His girlfriend said one of the reasons she broke up with this guy was because his dad owned a chain of restraunts and always got off of trouble because his dad (old man had money )
Darryl wrote the song in 1976 and it was rich Guy until 1979 he needed songs for their record and he changed it to drive girl .
Relying on her old man’s money means she was rich because of him and talked down to people , thiught she or he was better than other people and would insult people based on money .
It’s how rich people think they are better than everyone else and she didn’t even earn it .
This is what Darryl said what it all meant . Some of these interpretations are the exact opposite . Just listening to the song tells you she is a bitch . Unreal how bad some of these are !!! -
She doesn't need to be rich, she just needs to know her worth. She only needs herself and the Lord. The End.
-
This is a song about the an older man pimping out a materialistic girl that gives up her body for sex.
-
This song means that if she was rich no man will impress her with money cars and mansions because she is independent and she doesn't need to be a golddigger because she got money too.
