    She WANTS to be like most girls (all girls) because they are strong, beautiful etc. She says in an interview that we have been accepting that "You're not like most girls" for to long. As if we are better than everyone else, but we are the same. Beautiful and strong. Especially if we work together ! :)

    Is this song like encouraging changing your appearance? I’m confused. I would think that embracing yourself the way you are now would be a better message than saying “it’s okay if you want to change the body that you came in” . Can someone explain? Thank you.

    When I heard this song, this was what I thought Here's my interpretation:
    SO I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG!
    It's all about self empowerment and how all girls are unique, independant, strong and smart. She wants to be like those "girls" who stand away from the crowd and don't care about what others say or think about them. She's saying that it's alright to "make yourself up" because when you feel good, you can feel more confident and independent and that everyone has different ways to feel more empowered and independent. All girls are different and all have different personalities and different styles. "Most girls" are different and she too wants to be different and strong and independent too. When he said "You're not like most girls" she was thinking; but most girls are strong independent and unique so she does wants to be like them.

    I love Hailee because she sings songs with such powerful meanings :-)

    I personally believe is about a young woman's transition. That's what my transgender girlfriend and I believe. It makes sense. In the beginning of the song he says you're not like most girls. She also makes the comment it's okay to change the body that you came in. To my girlfriend that I speaks of somebody's transition to Womanhood.

    I think that it is about accepting and loving yourself and some people feel alone. Some boys say that "You're different from most girls" like we all are the same. Most girls (all girls) are amazing, empowered, talented, and beautiful. and the line "it's okay if you want to change the body that you came in" I think it's amazing that she added that. Some girls feel uncomfortable in their body, if they choose to change it, then don't judge them, it isn't wrong to change your body if you don't feel comfortable in it. But don't change it because other people tell you to, do it because you feel like you need to. Being comfortable in your own body is very important and some people say that changing your body is bad but some people do that because they want to feel more comfortable in their body. This sone is very empowered and I love it.

    If you see the clip the phrase “most girls” makes a lot more sense. It starts with a boy saying: you are not like most girls.
    And then the song begins. It is a pretty common phrase and when you think about it, it makes nog sense because most girls are awesome.

    I love the song, I think it is really empowering and the fact that she sings it’s okay to change the body that youcame in is a clear message that it’s okay to feel good when you wear makeup or do what you like. There are a lot people shaming girls who do that and this song is just all girl empowerment and I love it! In my opinion

For example: body image, the way we dress, comparing ourselves to others, etc.

This was included because people are really judgmental about girls who change themselves (some of the other interpretaters do this) and that since it’s their body they have the choice to do what they want and you have no right to judge what makes a girl good, you have no right to judge the choices she makes about herself.     I'm honestly very confused. I like that she says most girls are amazing and all, but what about the some girls? Shouldn't they be amazing too?

    I love anyone releasing positive words, deeds, prayers.
    People say, " life is hard" all the time. Well, I say "being a part of this world is hard".

    My three teens and I listen. To popular music. Sometimes the words don't mesh with our core values. Sometime we laugh at the lyrics. Mostly, we listen for a story or message. If we dig it, we process/talk about it.

    Some songs are so bad they are not worth discussing.
    Some songs are not committed to a view.
    This song is not committed. It is confusing.

    With this song Hailee has aimed to empower women to be them self this song ties in with LOVE YOURSELF so well too

    I can't decide whether this is an amazing, empowering song, or your typical song about fitting in. Don't be angry, I'm just stating the two different messages I'm getting. The chorus is empowering because it's telling you to stand up for what you believe in. The problem I have is the verses. While she is supporting "most girls", the "some girls" who are comfortable in their tight clothing and love to live life well that she mentions might not feel as supported because they are portrayed in a more negative light and she wants to be like the most girls she mentions, not them. She also states that most girls are beautiful, smart, and strong. While that is amazing and supports girls, some girls feel like they are not pretty enough or smart enough or strong enough, and feel left out. Even with all that said, I still think that this is a song that speaks up for most girls and gives girls more self confidence. Like I said before, it is empowering and supportive of girls.

    I think the song most girls is about self empowerment. Hailee Steinfeild most likely meant do what makes you feel beautiful, you look beautiful when you feel beautiful.
