Make a Move Lyrics

(Somebody make a move. Somebody make a move. Somebody.)
Test my reality
Check if there's a weak spot
Clingin' to insanity
Hope's the world will ease up
Try and make it look like it's all somehow getting better
Cause' I know how to play it...

It sounds like its referring how today's society seems to be in a downward spiral, and yet no one wants to say anything about it, or no one wants to "make a move."
Everyone is too scared to give their real opinion else they be branded an outsider for it. "You learn pretty quick how to fake it for the game. But some of you never learned to drop the act." It sounds like its referring to the conformity that is in the diversity. People coming out the closet, people talking about big changes, new ways, immoral ways, drugs, porn, adultery. All of these things are being accepted in today's society into one big melting pot of do-what-you-want-get-away-with-it-and-be-happy. I watched a movie where a psychiatrist prescribed to his patient that she should have an affair with another woman's husband. So some of these people who are trying to abstain and be good, and wholesome are looking at all of this, and they can't say anything, for fear of offending, or "preaching," to the point where they become apart of the problem; faking that they don't care, to the point where they eventually believe that everything is okay. Even to the point where they start induldging in this immorality just to prove that they don't care. "I'll play right along like I don't know what's going on."
Those who want to say something but are too scared to, find it hard, because at the same time that they wish to stand up and "make a move," they don't know what to say. "If I had the answers I'd have written them out, so I could tell you what to do and what this thing is about. But all I've ever learned comes second-hand and I dare not preach what I don't understand."
They are at odds with themselves, "screaming in the dark while (they) just play (their) part. (They'll) play right along, like (they) don't know what's going on." So instead of standing up they just identify the problem. "Pointing my fingers, the problem still lingers" Rather than just indentifying the problem someone has to stand up and "make a move," whether its within your own life, or in another's life, or within your own society.
I hope I'm understanding it right. This is just what I'm getting out of it. I'd love to hear what other's think though.

Takenaya's interpretation feels very off (and possibly bigoted)

My theory is the song is that we all are quote weird by default "Everyone started out a little insane"
but we are taught to hide who we are "But we learn pretty quick how to fake it for the game" as the word learn means to gain knowledge, but then the lyric follows with "But some of you never learned to drop the act" referring to people who just accepted themselves thus never learned to drop their weirdness. "So under that skin of yours: a heart attack" refers to the fear of being different.
"Somebody make a move" is a call to action to do something which the first lyrics explain.
"Test my reality, Check if there's a weak spot" because the singer isn't like everyone else and want's to check if they are insane. "Clingin' to insanity. Hopes the world will ease up. Try to make it look like it's all somehow getting better" is referring to hanging onto their side and doing what they want hoping the world eases up on judgement.
"This isn't pretty but it's who I am tonight" shows acceptance.
"Pointing my fingers, the problems still linger" despite social progression there are still bigoted people in the world. Basically you can point to them but you have to DO SOMETHING to remove the bigotry in the world.

I could explain the rest of the lyrics but I've written enough to give the basic idea of the song.

I think the song is about solving an insolvable mystery. Watch this video for proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxC9wchGaW0

Somehow I think it's about the witnesses to bullying/rape/murder that watch but don't do anything, and the guilt that comes after it. And when someone asks them if they saw it, then they are too afraid to admit.
