Bleeding Out Lyrics
So if the last thing that I do
Is bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes and I take it in
I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you
For you
When the...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Jesus on the cross when listening to this song. Such beautiful words. <3
-
Mormon group Imagine Dragons, most of their songs have biblical references...this song is about Jesus. Do the research - lol
-
This band is religious, it is in regards to Jesus and the cross....it's obvious if you listen to the lyrics....also KINGDOM Come - thats what us God loving people call Heaven
-
i think the lines everyone use to point to self harm move more towards sacrificing themselves completley and excepting it. like he bares his skin, aka his body. he counts his sins aka life flashing before his eyes then take it in which is lets say he takes a bullet for them and then hes bleeding out for them
-
I feel like it is about the impacts others have on people.
He was hurt by someone, yet he will bleed out for that person because he loves them even if they don't love him. It seems as though he is trying to make them sorry though. I'm bleeding out/so if the last thing that I do/ is bring you down/I bleed out for you.
It also reminds me of self-harm. So I bare my skin/and I count my sins/ and I close my eyes/ and I take it in. -
I think it's about depression and self harm. Some one is hurting him and he will bring them down no matter what; even if that means cutting himself (or bleeding out) to get through it. I listened to this song several times to understand what the lyrics meant. I found that he is cutting himself: /so I bare my skin/ and I count my sins/ and I close my eyes/ and I take it in/
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I think it's about going all the way for someone even if they don't love you the same way you love them...and yes, there is some self harm in this song I think, but mostly I think its about sacrificing yourself for the ones you love and escaping when you feel the most empty...
-
i think its about selfharm, feeling empty inside, hating yourself and thinking that you are not worth living.
He kind of talks about how everything has droven him to that moment in which he
"So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And Im bleeding out" which is basicly describing how he cuts himself. -
This song makes me think of my younger brother. There's a bit of an age difference between us & our mother was never around, so I'm his 'mom,' sister & friend all in one. He very recently turned 18 and moved out of my house to join the military. I'm absolutely heartbroken and terrified. I'd move heaven & earth, I'd go through hell & back again to protect him, to keep him safe. But he's 18, he needs to make his own decisions and live his life for him.
And it makes me think of self-harm as well, which I've turned to as a coping mechanism. I'm so worried & I miss him so much... -
This song is about self harm. "I Bare my skin" he takes his arm "count my sins close my eyes and I take it in, I'm bleeding out" he cuts himself, then it starts to bleed. Then throughout the song, it talks about how he feels like a failure.
-
I feel like this song is about someone who will do anything to make someone he loves not have to feel the pain of life. He will jump in front of anything for the one he loves without complaining. But no matter what he does, the person keeps feeling the pain but he keeps trying to jump in front. He wants to make sure that the one he loves isn't blamed for anything and doesn't get hurt. But again, he does it all without complaining (he closes his eyes and takes it in)
-
It reminds me of SelfHarm... thats why it helps me even if it isnt that.
-
I think it's about someone making a sacrifice, perhaps of his life, to keep a promise to someone- "So if the last thing that I do, is to bring it down, I'll bleed out for you, for you."
-
I think it could be about being a soldier sacrificing themselves in war for their country.
