Hate is gone and money's tight

About a Couple trying to just make a living and at the same time survive in this world. That are also heading towards old age with the TAOIST YingYang philosophy beliefs of The East that has Them pulled Westward to the boiling point that pushed open Their doors for Them to follow THE PATH that They're trying to KEEP UP with, while working together for making a living in The West.

Is it not just a general point about the pointlessness of life, and how to deal with loss... looking for signs from the stars or the rain "are they telling me it's gonna be ok". The advice to "live your life while your blood is boiling" also references the idea of doing something worthwhile before you die.

I think this song represents soviet Russia or opressive governments. The line "you be the worker I'll be the soldier shows the two most valued roles in the societ. I don't sleep so well at night shows how he is uncomfortable. There is more to be said but consider Soviet Russia if you know your history
