Imagine Dragons: I'm So Sorry Meaning
Song Released: 2015
I'm So Sorry Lyrics
No sign the roaring thunder stopped in cold to read
No time
Get mine and make no excuses waste of precious breath
No time
The sun shines on everyone, everyone love yourself to...

#1 top rated interpretation:I hear this song as an apology to yourself. Like you've spent your entire life neglecting yourself and you've finally accepted who you truly are. So, now you're apologizing to yourself for everything. Maybe even apologizing for self harm. Basically, it's about rising back up from the pit of emotional darkness that is depression.

#2 top rated interpretation:Its obviously an apology to people, but this song seems as if it is saying it in a sarcastic manner. Its also an inspiring sound of saying that 'I'm so sorry' that he's going out and doing something he knew he wanted to.
Then during the bridge Its the real apology about how they need to accept this who they are now
Its just the beauty of Imagine Dragons to say that you have to be inspired to do something but you still have to be in debt to someone for changing. -

#3 top rated interpretation:I think that this is about the struggle between faith and sexuality. We know this is an issue that's very important to Dan Reynolds, who was raised up Mormon and has made a documentary about LGBTQ youth in the Mormon church. These lyrics in particular:
"No lies and no deceiving, that is what he loves
I keep tryin' to conceive that death is from above"
This sounds like he's pointing out that God doesn't want people to be dishonest, so how can He be against gay youth being who they truly are? He can't fathom the idea that God would judge these kids for their sexuality.
The whole song seems to be a sarcastic non-apology to someone he clearly feels does not really deserve an apology. He's refusing to apologize for simply being who he is. -
Apologises to everyone he cares as now he is on a new journey where he sees his goals clearly

I think that Dan Reynolds is trying to say sorry to his family. Let me explain, Dan grew up in a household that didn’t except gays, lesbians, etc. Dan in this song is saying sorry because he didn’t follow the path that his family wanted him to. Dan is a Morman and because of that his family basically disowned him because he excepted people being gay and other religions then him himself.

In my opinion, this music is about self acceptance, Imagine Dragons is apologizing to themselves
-
It’s a prayer and a apology. It’s definitely talking about Jesus because A) “Man is what he loves”, refers to Gods love to humanity.B)” You son of a stepfather” can be interpreted as the son of Joseph. Also I think the first line is to false prophets. The sun shines on everyone means God shows compassion to everyone and everyone love yourself to death is humanity thinking their perfect. I keep trying to conceive that death is from above is him having doubt in God but could be that he’s wondering why people think of God being the cause of our mortality when it was our fault
