   West Coast, to me, feels like a live story between a man who has been hurt countless times, had his heat crushed, been lied to or cheated on and blames himself for his pain and a women he loves and can't stop thinking about. With the "I ain't no Superman" line it is the man saying that he isn't always some knight in shining armor he isn't always going to be able to save his love but understands that and promises to try and always be there by saying he will "be a strong man." And the infamous "I'll be your West Coast honey" is him saying that he will always be someone she can turn to, to be there in the morning and at night when she needs someone to cry to. He recognizes the pain he endures as well as the pain he gives others but still promises to me there for the person he loves so she won't hurt anymore.

   La canción habla de un chico, que si bien, no es el mejor, sabe que puede mejorar, y que quiere a esta chica y buscará hacerla feliz.
   Que, a pesar de todo estará ahí para ella, cuando las cosas no estén bien, la acompañará, la hará feliz.
   Que cambiará, si ella se queda, le pide que no se rinda, porque él no se rendirá, intentando ser mejor por ella.
