Janet Jackson: All for You Meaning
Song Released: 2001
All for You Lyrics
-
The title song off her 7th release, 2001's "All For You" finds Jackson at the heels of a divorce from husband Rene Elizondo Jr. whom Janet was secretly married to in 1990.
The song is about Janet finding optimism in her newly single freedom whilst exploring her unapologetic sexuality. She sings about a man at the club and the intimidations one may feel when approaching a woman requesting that men just "be yourself and let that be your guide" in approaching potential dates.
