Justin Bieber: Baby Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Covered By: Glee Cast
Baby Lyrics
Just shout whenever, and I'll be there
You want my love, you want my heart
And we will never ever ever be apart
Are we an item? Girl, quit playing
We're just friends, what are you saying?
Say there's...

#1 top rated interpretation:Since no one else on here can be serious about this song, I'll do the honors -__-
The song really shouldnt be heard to interpret by yourself. It's about him being in love for the frist time and throughout the whole song he's trying to deny that she doesnt feel the same way. Bare with me as I go line by line.
"You know you love me, I know you care
Just shout whenever, and I'll be there
You want my love, you want my heart
And we will never ever ever be apart"
-He's saying the he knows (or rather he would like to think) that the girl feels the same way he does about her and he's going to be there for her no matter what.
"Are we an item? Girl, quit playing
We're just friends, what are you saying?"
-The girl is denying their relationship. She isnt being as serious as he is about this whole thing and he's hurt by it.
"Say there's another and look right in my eyes"
-She said there's another guy. He Doesn't want to believe it so he wants her to look him in the eyes and say it.
"My first love broke my heart for the first time"
-.....
The Whole Chorus you can figure out by yourself.
"For you I would have done whatever
And I just can't believe we ain't together"
-He's finally realizing that she's gone but he can't believe it.
"And I wanna play it cool, but I'm losin' you"
-He wants to act like it doesnt matter but it's killing him on the inside.
"I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring"
-Right here I would say that he THINKS he would marry her because he's never felt this way about a girl before, so he's saying if she needed to hear that promise, then he would make it.
"And I'm in pieces, baby fix me
And just shake me til' you wake me from this bad dream"
-He still doesn't want to believe it so he's hoping that it's all a dream os he can wake up and go back to how things were.
"I'm going down, down, down, down
And I just can't believe my first love won't be around"
-self explanitory
(now ludacris's part is a whole different person, most likely recalling his own young relationship and its honestly all very frank and self explanitory)
"I'm gone (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Yeah Yeah Yeah)
All I'm gone (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Yeah Yeah Yeah)
Now I'm all gone (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Yeah Yeah Yeah)
Now I'm all gone (gone, gone, gone...)
I'm gone"
-He's letting it go, he's getting out of her life. Moving on. -

#2 top rated interpretation:This is what I got from this song.
Justin Beiber is in love for the first time (Probably a man) and experiences heartbreak. He thought they were meant to be. Now he hopes there is something there still -
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:The song is when you lose your girlfriend, you have to move on cuz you thought she was always be yours. He's letting go

It's really really good and wonderful I hope someday that I can meet him personally because I've been idolizing him since when I'm in my elementary days... So I hope that someday is I can truly meet my idol Justin Bieber
-
This song is talking about how much the girl loves him and he knows she loves him ,he knows she cares about him.
-
I think the album would be different than other music. It’s really good. But I used to have different ideas for my songwriting. Philip helped me with the record, sometimes when I had some songs in my journal. I would write my devotional and to know about everything I need to write about?
-
I think I’m going to make this record to the studio everything would be on the cd, but Philip and me are sharing a room with equipment, then we’re sharing a studio.
-
I think this song is completely out of control, we’re sharing our lives together, we’ve been through these times, you’re being so anxious. But we’re going to be great.
-
This song explores the complex and deeply emotional concepts of emotional dependency. Justin, the main character within this song, is describing a love he'll be able to have. His struggle is with sexuality and romantic apathy and emotional dependence.
-
I fell in love with my baby Justin Bieber.
-
Basically, it's Justin trying to deny stuff that's gonna happen in life. That says a lot about.
-
Every girl wanna steal my Bae find a another one Justin belongs to me so every mean girls stop being so mean to my baby Justin is perfect ok
-
This song is about a heartbroken JB getting over the loss of his girlfriend. I have no idea why his girlfriend dated him in the first place.
-
Nothing. I thought he'd fall in love with a guy! :/
-
This song is about him and his first love. He loves her so much, but she doesn't really feel the same way. Then, he decides to let her go or something because it was hopeless. And now, he's reminiscing his memories of loving her and how much he loved her, but he has to remember... He's gone now. He won't bother her anymore.
-
He is a young boy who is inlove for the first time but the girl he is inlove with keeps rejecting him and he is heart broken that she doesn't love him back, its about young innocent and new found love
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Why is everyone being so mean to Bieber? His songs explore places nobody has had the courage to bring up.
To me the song is partly about a simple school crush but he wants to also see her outside school. He is confused weather they're an item or just friends. It's like in school when you call yourselves a couple but you aren't REALLY. Well to him it was something more than a schooltime relationship and doesn't understand what his 'girlfriend' feels about him. I don't think I've made any point in this interpetation but it's better than what most people here have said about this song. I think people just don't like it because i's so likeable. I love it.
