   I hate this song, however, I will give you this, we had t perform the song for fifth grade graduation, and I always thought of it as a person who realizes that they've reached a point, where everything that was laid out for them, they've destroyed. They see that there was once a path, and their friends and loved ones did everything they could, but now, they've reached a point of self-loathing and disgust at what they've become, rather than their potential.

   He meant to say that like everyone ​he had a dream which he wanted to be true .. Its a song to make everyone realize that dreams come true , You have to feel and believe yourself and your dream , U have to work hard to be successful as did from a street singer to one of the best and richest singer in the world

   He has a dream and everybody keeps dragging him down about it basically saying he's never going to live his dream but he knows deep down that he was born to be somebody and he will live his dream and he doesn't care about what everybody else thinks

And it also means you can do anything you want if you try and never stop dreaming and believing you'll reach it, so stop being stupid and saying he's showing off, cause everybody was born to be somebody

   well... i think he's trying to show off. probably saying that 'he was born to be somebody' and 'he was born to stand tall' and being where he is today isnt accident its more of expected
