Justin Timberlake: Cry Me a River Meaning
Song Released: 2002
Cry Me a River Lyrics
You were my earth
But you didn't know all the ways I loved you, no
So you took a chance
And made other plans
But I bet you didn't think that they would come crashing down
No
You don't have to say, what you...

It's about Britney.

Justin wrote this song out of anger, pain and feeling betrayed by a lover. Hes telling the lover they were his sun, earth pretty much his everything. Hes heartbroken to the point that he says go cry me a river cuz im not hearing anything you have to say. A man torn to the point that eventhough he loves the lover so much he will not stand there and let his heart be played with. This song marked the start of his solo career and he needs to thank the beautiful Britney Spears for stirring up such emotions inside of him that til this day he still sings about her. Thats true soulmate love lol.
