Kodaline: Brother Meaning
Brother Lyrics
We were the ones
The kings and queens
Oh yeah we ruled the world
We smoked cigarettes
Man no regrets
Wish I could relive
Every single word
We've taken different paths and traveled different roads
I know we'll always end up on the...

I personally think this song is about a kinship, and the found family you can create throughout your lives especially when you are younger. The deeper meaning of this song could also about the cultural brother hood 2 siblings or mates could share throughout their young and old lives.

I think it’s about the army. “If we'll make it back with all our fingers and our toes
Five years, twenty years, come back
It will always be the same.” -
I believe the song is about the found family you can create throughout your lives especially when you are young. Sometimes you can find a friendship that is incredible and can last a lifetime which is worth holding onto but the song also shows that you don’t always need to see eachother because you know whenever one of you need eachother you will be there for support- “if i was dying on my knees you would be the one to rescue me and if you were drown at sea i’d give you my lungs so you could breathe” shows an equal relationship that doesn’t actually need that much effort put into it because they are your found family and one of the most important person to you.

You should always be there for your brother because when you die you will have no regrets and you should always be kind because you will never get to say sorry again when your dead and always show respect
