Diet Mountain Dew Lyrics

You're no good for me
Baby you're no good for me
You're no good for me
But baby I want you I want you

Diet Mountain Dew baby New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we'll be in love forever?
Do you think we'll be...

Everyone says this is about a relationship that she knows is toxic, but am I the only one who sees it as a girl who is getting a new begining in NYC, perhaps as a model, and is obsessed with being skinny and her self image. "Do you think we'll be in love forever" is like asking, will I be on this endless, destructive, dieting lifestyle forever? "You're no good for me" is self explanatory.
Idk, just how I interpreted it.

Just like how Mountain Dew is bad for you, I think is basically relating to a relationship she's is. "You're no good for me, but baby I want you" She knows how bad this other person is for her, but she decides to go against her gut feeling and get with this person anyway. "Do you think we'll be in love forever?" I think she's unsure of her relationship, maybe because of the things people tell her about the person she's with, so she feels the need to ask him for reassurance of their relationship.
