    I don't know what it is suppose to mean, but I can tell how I've come to interpret it.

    Life has become mundane, and trivial to her; "Taking pills, and running with the stream" being mundane and "Porches, poles and leopard skin" being trivial and materialistic. You could also note that "diamonds don't lift dark" could be saying that diamonds don't make people happy.

    So, she thinks life has become more of a puppet show. Now, she wants whoever controls the strings, whether that be someone of significance to her or a divine being, to "Please, pull the strings now." or to give her direction. And eventually "take her to that unreal place." I don't whether or not this is just a momentary escape or a change of life that she wants though.

    By the way Little dragon is my favorite band ever. <3
