Live: The River Meaning
Song Released: 2006
The River Lyrics
A love like I ain't ever felt before
She's like my destiny calling
And she's lying there all naked on the floor
And suddenly, out of the blue she's singin'
Oh, baby, let my lovin' ease your pain
Bring your burnin'...

True, God is calms us and makes our soul at rest. But the lyrics has nothing to do with it. This song is about a man who is in pain and he is really surprised because the woman that he loves or he is in love with appeared in front of him and she is willingly giving herself to him. Possibly they broke up and they got back together. Or they are already married. The husband came home from work and the wife came home early or the wife prepared something special for him.

I think it's obviously about love from a human perspective. Relating to the ultimate love which is God. God is love.
I hear spiritual undertones throughout the song. The river is baptism. God is love.
Baby let my lovin ease your pain. Bring your burning skin to my River once again. I'll give you LIFE.
Burning skin? Is ourselves laden with sin and burden.
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
I know you probably think I'm crazy but...what's more available than her lying there all naked on the floor?
GOD IS....THANKS love to you all !
