Okie dokie. Well someone said you cook herion and coke in a spoon. Herion ok coke may I suggest you don't cook it. Actually I will suggest ya just don't do it. But if I was guessing I would say they are talking about shoting coke. Hence the trip to the moon.just saying. Herion not really a moon shot.more of and alley thing.anyway don't do that crap either. It is obvious it talks about drugs, is not necessary soecify what, the most important is that adiction can take your life to hell

Quite simply, he could’ve been talking about either coke or heroin. Both are commonly cooked in a spoon and then injected. Sure sounds to me to be an ‘anti-drug’ kind of song. Many rockers were falling out all over the place from drug use back then.

Lots of songs from the seventies seem to be along the lines of realizing that they’re on a destructive path. I believe Hotel California was about the same kind of thing. Gathering for the feast (addicts at a party or hotel room) stabbing ‘it’ (coke) with their steely knives (razor blades) but they just can’t kill the beast (addiction).

‘Life in the fast lane’ -same kinda thing.

    Just my 2 cents.

I read a book about skynyrd and that song is talking about a return from rehab, 30 days an 30 nights coming home on an airplane flight, mama waiting at the ticket line tell me son why do you stand there crying,
I been feeling so sick inside got to get better before I die
Seven doctors tried to check my head said you'd better quit before your dead

It’s about being hooked on heroin and it’s saying don’t mess with a needle or a spoon or you might get hooked and ruin your life or it will end your life

I believe the song was made before the plane crash because Ronnie is singing it......also referring to heroin.

I always thought the meaning was LSD, windowpane. Because of the trip to the moon.

I don't know anything about heroin,I always assumed it was referring to iv meth use. Guess technically it could be either one.

possibaly something with the plane crash because the band is rumored to have been using herion which when using a needle required the use of a spoon. I think it was to discourage the use of herion and pay tribute to the lose of life at the same time
