Lynyrd Skynyrd: Truck Drivin' Man Meaning
Song Released: 1987
Truck Drivin' Man Lyrics
-
My dad was a truck driver from the 1950s till a 1993 crash in Canton Ohio against a mountain side caused him to have to retire. This song, to me, can only truly be understood by truck drivers and their families. It's a very hard life on all involved. Plus on the road you see a lot of nasty shit. Drugs, nasty lit lizards. Yeah I said it you bunch of whores that help tear up marriages and spread diseases so you can get your next fix. Lazy ass bitches that would rather be filthy nasty than just get a simple fucking job but no you go around messing up marriages and spreading diseases. I think special place in hell for you guys. You kinda get my meaning. It's a hard hard life for the truckers, their wives and us kids.
