This song is about having a hard time in life and having problems with relationships because of it. Even though its just a song it still has deep meaning when you really listen to the lyrics (thx for reading srry if i spelled stuff wrong)

The song is about his life struggle. People always talk about the highlights (or positive moments in someone's life) but the never see what the person had to go through to get to that positive moment. Sometimes the path to those positive moments isn't good hence Hailee saying "If you cant take me at worse." but people always to know someone when are "At there best."

Someone wants to break up with their boyfriend/girlfriend, but the boyfriend/girlfriend wants a chance to prove their self, because if they can't accept them at their worst, they don't deserve them when they're at their best.
