I thought this song was about losing yourself so you can love yourself better. About self love. Well that's my feelings about this song. And about life tragic out comes.

    This is poetically beautiful!

I really think this song is, as said before, having to step backwards to be able to truly step forward in love & life.

Marsha's voice is crippling with passion and oozing with heartbreak making this song a true expression of the heart!

Finding yourself is such a complex situation and I love the expression! One of the best on the album alongside 'Far Away', 'Chasing Clouds', 'Hope She Cheats' & 'The Break Up Song'

I think this song is about learning how to love again and letting go of fear and baggage in your future relationships after being hurt or getting your heartbroken in a prior relationship...u think about when u first start out and all you are looking for is love and then someone totally shatters your heart and you lose your confidence, trust and you go into a new relationship not really able to give your whole self to a new partner, you kinda have to lose your self to find your self again..regain everything you lost about your self, including your self worth that you lost to someone that did not deserve you or your love. Very deep song...not suprised it is a lauryn hill remake.
