Metallica: All Within My Hands Meaning
All Within My Hands Lyrics
Squeeze it in, crush it down
All within my hands
Hold it dear, hold it suffocate
All within my hands
Love to death, smack you 'round and 'round and
All within my hands
Beware
Love is control
I'll die if I let...

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Basically it's a narcissistic relationship. Another narcissist controlling their partner. I know this all too well.. been there

This song is a reflection by James about his iron fist approach to keeping what he loves close to him. Many feel it was a direct response to Jason leaving the band and his realizing that he caused it.
-
This could be about how Jason was not allowed to have his will in the band. The huge metallica machine is all within james's hands. He controls it all and crushes any objection.

This is a demented and one of the most cruel songs Metallica has ever done as the lyrics suggest that a man lives on control over his wife and pure anger. He only married his wife for control, he finds a sickening amusement in "letting you go, then pulling your chain" or whatever, meaning he likes to let them have a strong sense of freedom then crush there world just because his wife wants him to still love her. The ending is obviously the anger part........ya know......cause he's angry, and wants to kill, ALOT.
