   michael is speaking to the woman that he loves.him wanting them to be together no matter what, he knows they could make it as long as they stuck together. they have been through things before. all they have to do is not let go of each other and their love.

   The original version of the song started with a very sensitive word, " convict music(akon)" to me I attribute this to the fact that m.j and akon knew very well the way the world perceived them . a convict is someone upon which judgement has been passed. so they knew that a lot of people who alleged them of being members of illuminati had already prejudged them before God Himself( convict).
   This life won't last forever means Michael had already known that that a time shall come when illuminati will be done with them and after exploiting and gaining from their artistry they will seem worthless to them and they would be eliminated
   " being miserable alone" means Michael had strong feeling that his soul did not belong to illuminati society " he felt loneliness as he compared how much freedom other human kinds had and the hardship Sony industry and illuminati subjected him to.
   " we' re better off being together" ( quoting illuminati and living in happiness and prospect with other human kinds)

   He is telling us no matter what happens...Hold my hand, and don't let go. Love is so important and God is showing us through Michael that we need to love each other more and put away the hate...the same blood flows through all of our veins...so we are all one.
