Slave To The Rhythm Lyrics

She dances in these sheets at night
She dances to his needs
She dances 'til he feels just right
Until he falls asleep
She dances at the crack of dawn
And quickly cooks his food
She can't be late, can't take too long
The kids must get to...

Like many of Michael's songs, this has a double meaning. Of course, on the surface it's about a wife who lives in an abusive relationship with her husband. But some don't see the double meaning. It's about artists in the music industry, including Michael, who are all slave to the elites that control them while the "kids" he can't let down are us fans. This theory makes sense as it continues the theme of Michael warning of us about the elites: "Xscape" is about trying to escape the system, "A Place With No Name" is about wishing of finding a place free from all the tabloids and this song is no different. Michael's a slave to the illuminati.

He talks about how the elite of the music industry controls them. I mean the "She" in that context is all the celebrities in the industry and "He" there is the main elite and leaders of the industry; "At work" means how the directors show less concern for the celebrities and make them over work; "the kids" are the fans, there is no way the celebrities will stop entertaining the fans because the fans needs them.

This story is about a woman who has an abusive relationship with her husband. He physically, emotionally, sexually, and verbally abuses her. She does what ever she can to make him happy. They have children together and he barely cares for them, more than likely doesnt work either.

When she gets to her job, it is very hectic. He singles her out and works her harder than anyone else. She doesnt stand up for herself because she needs the money. He keeps her past work hour, which means she is in trouble when she gets home.

The food is ready too late and her husband has a fit. They get into and he most likely fights her, she gets away and runs out the door to get away. But then she stops thinking about herself and thinks how could she leave her children with that man? She goes back and continues to be a slave to this man, all to keep her kids safe, and her job that obviously pays well.

I feel that this song it's about Michael Jackson's personal life because he had an abusive father and his mother trying to do anything about it and he and his siblings are the . kids "

I think this song is based around the area of the paparazzi trying to ruin Michael’s life by invading his privacy, he has voiced this by an abusive relationship between a husband and wife, he had used this scenario to explain about the pain he has had to grin and bear his way through. Meaning that all the journalists bending the truth about him and the unending feeling that he needs to please his fans. His political view of this is that he wishes to just be left alone, as does the Wife in ‘Slave To The Rhythm’

    Who is the slave???
Yes they are the illuminati puppets so the abusive guy is the mind controler
so they do whatever they are told to even though its abusive so they are slaves to the rythm
    michael himself knew that

She's not a slave to the rhythm. IT's ABOUT MICHAEL HIMSELF, A SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM, to the ILLUMINATI. Michael's always uses double meaning in his songs!!

This woman is a mother and her husband constantly make her work and do whatever he wants without any thanks. She is a slave to the rhythm of her everyday life and one day she tries to run away but she realizes she can't because her children need her to take care of them so she will always be a "Slave to the rhythm"
