Mika: Any Other World Meaning
Any Other World Lyrics
You could tell the difference
And let it all unfurl
Into broken remnants
Smile like you mean it
And let yourself let go
'Cause it's all in the hands
of a bitter bitter man
say goodbye, to the world you thought you...

Powerful song. My interpretation is that the old Earth consciousness is coming to an end as influenced by a group of greedy men combined with humanity’s selfish, unconscious behavior. And no “thing” lasts forever so smile because the old ways are over and inspire the new. No one will feel lonely or Half in the New Earth in that sense because we have learned to let go, forgive, and Stay Whole so that we can heal on deeper levels and manifest our greatest versions and realities in ways that are positive! — James Liakos

My interpretation is that sometimes things will happen in your life but you have to let them go and "smile like you mean it" cause your life will not last forever you can't live alone.

The rendition of this song into the last moments of season 2's finale of "The Good Wife - Closing Arguments" speaks measures about at least one true interpretation & meaning of this music and it's lyrics. One doesn't need to watch anything but the last moments of this episode to gather an overwhelming understanding of this great songs meaning.

It is maybe something about trying to escape

Life can change at any moment without your control. It doesn't always work out as planned.
"I tried to live alone, but lonely is so lonely alone. So human as I am I had to give up my defenses." He tried to separate himself from everyone else, but being human, he couldn't keep away from other people.
It is a beautiful song, and some parts are hard to understand, but it is amazing.
