Mitski: Me and my Husband Meaning
Me and my Husband Lyrics
From the world for a minute
And then I'll be nothing forever
And all of my memories
And all of the things I have seen
Will be gone
With my eyes with my body with me
But me and my husband
We're doing better
It's...

I believe that this song is about a depressing one-sided love between two people, with one trying to put effort into the relationship but the other neglecting and rejecting them all together, and so the person dissociates/pretends that their relationship is the best ever and/or getting better, stating the line “Me and my husband, we are doing better, it’s always been just me and him together.” Either referring to how the person believes their relationship is stable and it’s just them together through all of it, but the truth is that their relationship is one-sided and failing.

Personally, I interpret this song as someone being in a relationship they know they hate and are unhappy with but stay due to the fact of just wanting to feel loved and not alone anymore even though they still feel just as alone as they where without them
