Sunshine is basically vitamin D. People usually make the Vitamin D joke like a dick joke. Later on she says “take me away” which I believe she’s telling someone with a big pp to f her.

I believe that this song is about staying positive through out the negatives. When you are having a rough time it is difficult to stay positive and to try you get your self through the situation you are dealing with.

I think she's really depressed, and she cuts herself....or used to (there's only butterflies) the butterfly is the sign for self harm...but now she says the sun is on her side, which means things are brightening up. I just heard this song on a download fron Brian Harden. I was blown away with the new thought that this is really how I feel when I wake up in the morning and ask God, "What do you have for me today?" As ideas come to me, I write them down. Now I have the freedom to choose whether I want to do these things. ( Sometimes it's not about doing, but about waiting) I've only been doing this since the beginning of the year, actually following as best I can His direction. And I've got to say that this song so describes how I've been feeling. Even that she uses the analogy of "sunshine" when I can say "sonshine". Last year this would have sounded so corny to me, but now, I'm all about it.

I love this song. It could mean a lot of things to different people. To me, she is talking about how some people in the world try to keep others from success either out of jealousy, hatred, or just plain meanness. When she says take me away to better days, a sweet escape, a hiding place. She longs for the time when she did not know how ruthless the world could be. Back when she was innocent to how cruel people can be to each other. When she says she has a pocket full of sunshine, she is referring to herself. She has her own happiness and self worth that the world will never own or take from her. I HAVE A LOVE AND I KNOW THAT ITS ALL MINE, means that she a love for herself and know one can take that from her. People can continue to try and break her, with their evil and back stabbing ways, but they will never control her because she loves herself too much to fall prey to the ways of the world.
